Job Description: Evening Assistant Accountant

We are a Canadian Based Audit firm with a strong presence in Lahore. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional accounting services to our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Evening Assistant Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to the accounting department in various tasks, including handling accounts payables and receivables, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  2. Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end journal entries, as well as monthly and annual financial reports.
  3. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing financial data, and identifying potential variances.
  4. Monitor and analyze revenue and expenses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget constraints.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and optimize efficiency.
  6. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both electronically and physically.
  8. Support ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
Job Specification

- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role, preferably in the accounting industry.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply them effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
