Project Director

As a seasoned project director, you will oversee every phase of the project lifecycle, ensuring that it aligns with client expectations, meets regulatory standards, and stays within scope.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, setting clear objectives, milestones, and deliverables. Align project goals with client requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a multidisciplinary project team, delegating tasks effectively, and providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and morale.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open communication channels, managing expectations, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project finances, including budget allocation, expenditure tracking, and cost control measures. Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity. Proactively address issues as they arise, making informed decisions to mitigate impact.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the project lifecycle. Implement rigorous quality control measures to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, closely monitoring progress against milestones and deadlines. Implement adjustments as necessary to optimize workflow and mitigate schedule delays.
  • Contract Negotiation and Administration: Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Ensure adherence to contractual agreements and resolve disputes as needed.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, environmental standards, and other legal requirements. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends to maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in project management, preferably within the architectural and construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are advantageous.
