Job Summary:
A senior biomedical equipment specialist is needed to lead our after-sales and service department. This role involves providing direct support to the sales/marketing team as well as clinical application trainings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Equipment Knowledge Acquisition: Acquire in-depth knowledge of medical equipment including operating, technical, and clinical aspects.
  2. Work Completion Review: Regularly review work completion data, projected scheduled work assignments, quality assurance issues, new equipment inspections, and other project requirements. Ensure processes are in place for timely responses to equipment user requests.
  3. Project Collaboration: Collaborate with departmental teams and clients on projects involving new equipment acquisition, installation, renovation, modification, or removal. This includes annual evaluation of medical equipment for replacement purposes.
  4. Quality Improvement: Contribute to departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. Promote patient safety by ensuring proper equipment use, application, and performance. Comply with applicable standards and regulations.
  5. Service Contract Management: Manage service contracts effectively. Assess cost-effectiveness and make recommendations. Monitor work performance to verify its applicability and cost-effectiveness. Regularly meet with clients to review device failure rates and repair histories.
  6. Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on dialysis machines and other equipment as per service contracts or requirements.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service performed nationwide and keep them up-to-date.
  8. Competitor Awareness: Stay informed about competitor activities and maintain organizational awareness.
  9. Equipment Expertise: Develop expertise in equipment operating, clinical aspects, and assist marketing/sales teams during demonstrations/installations/trainings.
  10. Product Comparison: Compare products with competitors and discuss with hospital technical members during tenders, projects, and quotations.
  11. Manufacturer Communication: Foster strong communication with manufacturers' technical departments regarding technical support matters.
  12. Clinician Relationships: Build relationships with clinicians, HODs, and biomedical departments to develop specifications for medical equipment tendering.
  13. Key Opinion Leader Support: Satisfy Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) regarding product support before and after purchase, maintaining their confidence in the company's technical and clinical support.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Electronics, preferably with a BBA or MBA.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position with excellent management skills.
  • Strong analytical, efficient, detail-oriented, computer-literate, and technically adept professional.
  • Pleasant personality with positive initiative and drive.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong learning ability.
