Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or working towards a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in UAE VAT or tax-related role
  • Have good knowledge of Tax, Financial Accounting and Compliance matters
  • Experience in financial advisory and other related financial services and products.
  • Complying with tax laws and obligations.
  • Working to set standards of performance
  • Producing ideas (for the customer and the department)
  • Personal standards (commitment, attitude, appearance, contribution, Excellent Client interface at all times and all costs)
  • Proficient in English

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns for clients.
  • Assist in VAT registration and deregistration processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for client VAT accounts.
  • Assist in preparing VAT refund and penalty reconsideration applications.
  • Help review client documentation to ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
  • Respond to client queries under the guidance of senior tax staff.
  • Stay updated with the latest VAT rules and practices in the UAE.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards in all processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data.
  • Participate in trainings and development programs to enhance VAT knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the VAT Manager to support department goals.
