Job Summary:

XYZies is seeking a highly motivated and proactive IT Executive to join our growing team. In this mid-level role, you will be responsible for supporting the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring systems and networks are running efficiently, and implementing technology solutions that align with business objectives. You will work closely with senior IT leadership to maintain and improve systems, support IT operations, and troubleshoot technical issues across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System & Network Management:
  • Assist in the management of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Systems Monitoring & Maintenance:
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and ensure that preventive maintenance procedures are followed for key IT infrastructure.
  • Security & Data Protection:
  • Assist in implementing security measures, performing routine security audits, and ensuring the integrity of the company's data through backups and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaboration with Teams:
  • Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide support and solutions to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Vendor Management & Procurement:
  • Assist with the selection, procurement, and management of IT vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery and value for the company.
  • Project Assistance:
  • Support the execution of IT projects, from implementation of new systems to software upgrades and network expansions.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide regular updates to senior IT management on system status and improvements.
  • Training & Support:
  • Provide training to employees on new IT systems, tools, and software to improve overall technical competency across the organization.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, server administration, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection protocols.
  • Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
  • Experience working in a mid-sized or large organization with rotating shift requirements is a plus.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a hands-on approach to addressing IT challenges.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability:
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while managing individual tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable to working in rotating shifts and managing time effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
  • Cisco, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications are a plus.
  • Shift Requirements:
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
