We are seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about ensuring the quality of software applications. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA team members to test applications, identify issues, and help deliver reliable, high-quality products to our users. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in software testing, automation, and quality assurance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and report results in a clear and structured way.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Assist in regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Work with developers and product managers to understand requirements and expected outcomes.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and QA review sessions.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Update QA documentation as features evolve.
- Learn automation tools and testing frameworks under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
- Stay updated with QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Proactively suggest improvements to enhance testing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 1 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance (internships or projects acceptable).
- Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum is a plus).
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test case management systems.
- Knowledge of basic SQL queries for data validation.
- Exposure to automation tools is an advantage.
- Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
- Proactive attitude with a passion for product quality.
