Position Title: Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: On-site – Gulberg Greens, Islamabad

Working Hours: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Pakistan Standard Time)

Reporting To:
DevOps Lead

Experience Required: 1-2 years

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Junior DevOps Engineer
to support our development and operations teams. The role focuses on automating processes, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and ensuring smooth deployment and infrastructure management. This position is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in DevOps practices who is eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Collaborate with developers to automate build, release, and configuration management processes.
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Ensure systems follow security, backup, and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Document processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay up to date with DevOps tools, practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, System Administration, or related role.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Basic understanding of containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  • Basic knowledge of networking, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Exposure to version control systems (Git).
  • Awareness of security practices in DevOps
