Junior DevSecOps Engineer [Evening Shift (4 PM to 12 AM)]

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The candidate will support the DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation initiatives. This role requires knowledge of SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), scripting/programming, and databases.

The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adaptable, and able to work in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

  • Support deployment processes across different environments.

  • Work with SAST and DAST tools to identify and report vulnerabilities.

  • Write simple automation scripts to improve workflows.

  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams for smoother releases.

  • Monitor applications, servers, and cloud resources.

  • Perform basic database management and troubleshooting.

  • Document processes and follow DevOps best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, development, or related fields.

  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).

  • Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools (SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, etc.).

  • Understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).

  • Hands-on experience with scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

  • Basic understanding of Linux and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus).

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a DevOps/Security-focused career path.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).

  • Understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
