Job Summary:

The Audit Officer is responsible for conducting internal audits and reviews to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with laws and regulations, and risk management processes. The role involves planning and executing audits, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to enhance business performance and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with the annual audit plan.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
  • Review and assess the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information.
  • Identify control weaknesses, non-compliance with regulations, and inefficiencies.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation.
  • Assist in the development of audit programs and risk assessments.
  • Maintain documentation of audit procedures and working papers.
  • Ensure audits are completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Support external auditors during financial audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of relevant audit experience.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
