Position Overview:
The Accounts Administrator plays a key role in supporting the college's finance and administration functions. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, assisting with payroll, and providing administrative support to the Finance team. The role contributes to the effective financial management and smooth day-to-day operations of the college.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and issue student fee invoices and receipts.
· Reconcile incoming payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
· Maintain supplier and student financial records in the accounting system.
· Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation and files.
· Respond to student queries regarding payments, invoices, and fees.
· Process assessment and tuition payments in line with college policies.
· Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling student records.
· Support the Finance team with data entry, filing, and correspondence.
· Liaise with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries.
Key Selection Criteria / Skills:
- Qualification in Accounting and Finance, (Certificate IV or higher preferred).
- Experience in accounting or administrative roles
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and teamwork.
Desirable Attributes:
- Familiarity with student management systems (e.g., Axcelerate).
- Understanding of education compliance and reporting requirements.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to support colleagues across departments.
