The Ready Mix Plant Incharge is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the ready-mix concrete plant, ensuring consistent production of high-quality concrete while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves managing plant operations, workforce supervision, equipment maintenance, and coordination with site and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of concrete to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and control all activities related to ready-mix concrete production and dispatch.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of concrete as per mix design and project requirements.
  • Monitor batching operations, raw material usage, and stock levels (cement, aggregates, admixtures, etc.).
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration of batching equipment and weighbridges.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards, housekeeping, and environmental compliance at the plant.
  • Coordinate with procurement, quality control, and logistics teams to maintain smooth operations.
  • Prepare daily production, consumption, and maintenance reports.
  • Manage and lead plant staff, drivers, and operators, ensuring discipline and productivity.
  • Control operational costs, fuel consumption, and wastage.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams regarding concrete delivery schedules and quality feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE procedures, and ISO standards (if applicable).

Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE)
    in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
    in ready-mix concrete plant operations, including at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of batching plant machinery, mix designs, and concrete quality control.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong technical understanding of plant equipment and concrete technology.
  • Proficient in production planning, inventory control, and reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP/BMS systems preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • Site-based position; may require working extended hours based on production schedules.
  • Exposure to outdoor and industrial plant environments.
