Job Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with taxation laws and accounting standards. The role includes handling general accounting operations, tax filing, reconciliations, and assisting with audits.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledgers, and trial balances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure all accounting records are properly maintained and updated.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Sales Tax, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for assessments and tax planning.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of taxation laws and changes.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing management reports, financial forecasts, and budgets.
  • Support external and internal audits.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in financial decision-making.

Other Duties

  • Coordinate with banks for financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and taxation.
- Certifications:

Preferably ACCA / CA Inter / ICMA / B.Com / M.Com.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and taxation laws.
- Familiar with FBR and relevant tax portals.
