ICCD is seeking a talented and versatile Web Developer with strong WordPress expertise to manage, develop, and enhance our organization's digital platforms. This role goes beyond routine maintenance — you'll be building user-friendly, secure, and high-performing websites that support our mission, enhance our online visibility, and engage our audience effectively.

The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with a creative eye for design, an understanding of UX principles, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with our internal teams and external vendors to ensure all web projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Development & Customization

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, child themes, and plugins.
  • Configure and manage page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, etc.) to deliver visually compelling pages.
  • Implement new functionalities using custom code (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Performance, Security & Maintenance

  • Optimize site speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Manage WordPress updates, backups, and routine maintenance schedules.

Hosting, Domain & Technical Administration

  • Manage hosting environments, domain names, and DNS configurations.
  • Coordinate with hosting providers for troubleshooting and performance improvements.
  • Ensure reliable backup systems and quick recovery processes.

Collaboration & Integration

  • Work with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver projects that align with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and plugins as needed.
  • Support internal teams with website-related technical requests.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor analytics, SEO performance, and user behavior to recommend site enhancements.
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and security practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven 3+ years of experience as a Web Developer with a strong focus on WordPress (portfolio or examples required).
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, website optimization tools, and Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of hosting control panels (e.g., cPanel, Plesk) and DNS management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress eCommerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of website accessibility (WCAG standards).
  • Experience with version control tools (Git).
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Figma, or Canva).
