The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO 22000, HACCP, Halal, and GMP standards.
  • Ensure raw materials (tomatoes, oil, eggs, vinegar, spices, etc.) meet required specifications before production.
  • Define quality benchmarks for ketchup and mayonnaise (taste, viscosity, texture, pH, microbiological safety).
  • Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis, and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Train production staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality of ingredients and packaging materials.

Quality Controll:

  • Oversee daily quality control testing at all production stages (raw material, in-process, finished product).
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) during production, especially pasteurization, emulsification, and filling.
  • Ensure laboratory testing of microbiology, shelf-life, pH levels, and sensory evaluations.
  • Approve/reject raw materials and finished goods based on QC results.
  • Maintain records of inspection, testing, and certifications.

Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with Pakistan Food Authority (PFA), ISO, Halal Certification, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer audits.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
  • 5+ years' relevant work experience
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
