About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Invoicing:

  • Accurately record and process all supplier invoices and customer bills.
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices to clients.
  • Maintain and update the accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
  • Cash & Bank Management:
  • Handle daily cash transactions and prepare daily cash summaries.
  • Perform routine bank deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations in person.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure all disbursements are properly documented.
  • Record Maintenance:
  • Maintain an organized and systematic filing system for all financial documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Support during internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting role. Fresh graduates with a strong grasp of accounting principles may also be considered if they pass the interview test.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs etc).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero etc)
  • Personal Attributes:
  • High level of honesty, integrity, and reliability.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
