UI/UX Designer – E-Commerce

Position Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer with experience in e-commerce and fashion brand design. This contract position focuses on designing engaging online shopping experiences, from storefronts to responsive mobile experiences. The ideal candidate will be fluent in modern design tools, understand e-commerce user flows, and have a strong eye for fashion-driven visual aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience (UX)

• User Flows: Map and optimize customer journeys for online fashion and e-commerce platforms.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Research: Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor benchmarking.
• Accessibility: Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and best practices.

User Interface (UI)

• Visual Design: Develop modern, stylish, and brand-aligned interfaces tailored to fashion clients.
• E-Commerce Focus: Design intuitive product pages, checkout flows, filters, and account areas.
• Brand Identity: Translate brand guidelines into consistent, engaging digital experiences.
• Responsive Design: Ensure seamless experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Client Communication: Collaborate directly with US-based e-commerce and fashion clients.
• Developer Handoff: Prepare design assets, specs, and documentation for Shopify and front-end developers.
• Iteration: Incorporate stakeholder feedback into design revisions quickly and effectively.
• Performance Awareness: Work with product teams to optimize designs for conversion and retention.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio of e-commerce or fashion projects.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.
• E-Commerce Platforms: Understanding of Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento design requirements.
• UX Research: Skilled in creating personas, wireframes, and user testing processes.
• Brand Sensitivity: Ability to align design decisions with fashion and lifestyle branding.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills for working with US-based teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Location: Based in Pakistan or Middle East region
• Fashion Brands: Direct experience with online stores for apparel, accessories, or luxury brands.
• Motion Design: Familiarity with micro-interactions and animations for e-commerce.
• Analytics Tools: Understanding of heatmaps, A/B testing, and user behavior analytics (Hotjar, GA).
• Certifications: Google UX Design Certificate, NN/g UX Certification, or equivalent.
• Agile/Scrum: Experience collaborating in Agile product development cycles.

Contract Details

• Performance Reviews: Regular performance assessments for contract renewal consideration
• Remote Work: Full remote position with stable internet connection required
• Client Location: Fashion and e-commerce clients based in the US (Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles)
