Shopify Developer – E-Commerce

Position Summary

We are seeking a Shopify Developer with strong experience in building and customizing Shopify storefronts for e-commerce and fashion brands. This contract position focuses on front-end development, theme customization, and integration with third-party applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of e-commerce performance, usability, and fashion-driven aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Development

• Theme Customization: Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Custom Features: Develop custom apps, scripts, or functionalities to meet unique client requirements.
• Storefront Optimization: Ensure fast-loading, mobile-friendly, and conversion-focused Shopify sites.
• Integration: Connect Shopify stores with payment gateways, shipping solutions, CRMs, and marketing tools.
• Maintenance: Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and bug fixes for client stores.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Designer Handoff: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into working storefronts.
• Client Communication: Work directly with US-based fashion and retail clients on requirements and feedback.
• Best Practices: Implement SEO, performance optimization, and e-commerce conversion best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for features, apps, and integrations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years in web development, with 2+ years specializing in Shopify.
• Languages: Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), JSON.
• Shopify Expertise: Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, app ecosystem, and checkout customization.
• E-Commerce Knowledge: Understanding of online retail workflows, product catalogs, and order management.
• Version Control: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills for US client collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Location: Based in Pakistan or Middle East region
• Fashion E-Commerce: Prior experience building Shopify stores for apparel, luxury goods, or lifestyle brands.
• Headless Commerce: Exposure to Shopify Plus, GraphQL Storefront API, or headless CMS integrations.
• Analytics Tools: Familiarity with Google Analytics, GTM, and conversion tracking integrations.
• Payment & Shipping: Experience integrating Shopify with Stripe, PayPal, UPS, FedEx, or local carriers.
• Certifications: Shopify Partner/Developer certifications.
• Agile/Scrum: Experience working in Agile teams with designers and product managers.

Contract Details

• Performance Reviews: Regular performance assessments for contract renewal consideration
• Remote Work: Full remote position with stable internet connection required
• Client Location: Fashion and e-commerce clients based in the US (Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles)
