Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Karachi Division for a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer at Botmer. The role focuses on maintaining the highest quality standards across software development projects through structured testing, documentation, and process validation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include executing manual and automated test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, verifying fixes, and ensuring product releases meet defined quality benchmarks. The position also involves collaborating closely with developers, designers, and project managers to enhance the efficiency and reliability of products while contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience or strong interest in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Testing processes
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Postman, or Selenium (hands-on experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working within cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks, API testing, or version control systems (Git, etc.) is an advantage
