We are seeking a skilled
Database Engineer
to design, implement, maintain, and optimize database systems that power enterprise applications and critical business operations. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of database environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support evolving organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implementation:
  • Architect and deploy robust database solutions for enterprise applications and business systems.
  • Develop database schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Maintenance & Optimization:
  • Monitor database performance, fine-tune queries, and optimize indexing strategies.
  • Perform routine database maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
  • High Availability & Security:
  • Implement disaster recovery, backup, and failover strategies to ensure data integrity and uptime.
  • Enforce database security policies, access controls, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaboration & Support:
  • Partner with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to support database needs.
  • Provide technical expertise in database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation & Standards:
  • Maintain clear documentation of database architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Define and enforce database development and operational best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a
    Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role
    .
  • Strong proficiency in
    SQL
    and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with
    performance tuning, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery solutions
    .
  • Knowledge of
    cloud-based databases
    (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools and scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
