We're looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) experienced in PostgreSQL and SQL optimization to manage, secure, and optimize large-scale databases for high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and data models
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and query tuning
  • Write and debug complex SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures
  • Monitor, back up, and restore databases to ensure high availability and data integrity
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and database security policies
  • Implement and maintain ETL processes and data migration workflows
  • Identify and resolve performance or reliability issues
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize database interactions
  • Maintain up-to-date database documentation and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Database Administrator or SQL Developer
  • Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, tuning, indexing)
  • Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and performance analysis
  • Understanding of backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Knowledge of ETL workflows and data integration tools
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
