The
Deputy Manager Quality Assurance
is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities within the factory to ensure that products meet organizational and industry standards. This role focuses on maintaining and improving quality systems, ensuring compliance with procedures, and proactively addressing quality issues that may impact production or safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA management, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all quality assurance activities across the factory and ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.
  • Ensure proper testing of product samples in line with approved testing protocols.
  • Report recurring quality issues to the Factory Manager and recommend production stoppage if necessary.
  • Prepare and implement a monthly QA program covering all factory operations, including support functions, and obtain approval from the Factory Manager.
  • Prepare and submit monthly QA analysis and feedback reports to all department heads and PCD by the 5th of each month.
  • Ensure the incoming quality of kits, localization, and LP items meets set standards.
  • Ensure the availability of approved samples for all products and models before the start of production.
  • Ensure implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Conduct daily patrolling of the factory, record findings, share feedback with department heads, and verbally communicate key issues daily.
  • Identify any activity that may affect product quality or worker safety and report it to the concerned department head and Factory Manager.
  • Evaluate samples of new products and ensure compliance with design and performance standards.
  • Ensure that power-on checks are carried out with every refrigerant cylinder change.
  • Recommend performance efficiency improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards within areas of responsibility.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Factory Manager.

Qualifications:

  • B.E / B. Tech (Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • Additional certification or diploma in
    Quality Assurance, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), ISO 9001:2015, or Total Quality Management (TQM)
    will be a strong plus.
  • Minimum
    10 years
    of experience in a managerial capacity (for B.E), or Minimum
    15 years
    of experience in a supervisory capacity (for B. Tech).
  • Strong understanding of
    ISO, 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing principles
    .
  • Proficiency in
    root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and statistical quality control tools
    .
  • Sound knowledge of
    manufacturing processes, material flow, and quality testing equipment
    .
  • Effective communication and reporting skills, with the ability to train and guide QA teams.
