Imkaan Welfare Organization is seeking
two committed Lawyers
to join our legal team in Karachi. These positions offer a unique opportunity to work on
statelessness
and
refugee rights
, contributing to meaningful legal advocacy, representation, and access to justice for marginalized communities.

Available Positions:

  • Lawyer – Stateless Project (1 position)
  • Lawyer – Refugee Project (1 position)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and representation in cases related to refugee rights and statelessness.
  • Appear before courts and relevant authorities as required.
  • Draft legal documents, including petitions, applications, contracts, and reports.
  • Conduct legal research and monitor developments in relevant laws and policies.
  • Liaise with courts, government departments, and partner organizations.
  • Support senior legal staff in developing strategies and legal interventions.
  • Engage with communities to raise awareness of legal rights, deliver information sessions, and provide accessible legal guidance at the grassroots level.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing lawyer.
  • Registered with the Sindh Bar Council (Lower Courts).
  • Strong knowledge of human rights law and the Foreigners Act.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Prior experience in refugee- or statelessness-related legal work, or community legal awareness, will be an advantage.
