Role Summary:

The Manager Network and System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure—including servers, operating systems (Windows/Linux), enterprise applications, and network environments. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of both on-premises and cloud-based systems by proactively monitoring performance, applying updates, and implementing best practices in system administration. This role plays a vital part in ensuring IT operations run smoothly while delivering timely and effective technical support to internal users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and enterprise applications.
  • Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply necessary patches and upgrades.
  • Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Ensure security through access controls, firewalls, and monitoring tools.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory and other tools.
  • Perform regular audits and system health checks.
  • Maintain documentation of network diagrams, procedures, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with software development, cybersecurity, and support teams.
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
  • Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users.
  • Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
  • Provide technical support to internal users and resolve escalated IT issues.

Job Specification:

Basic Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience (No. Of Years):

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in system and network administration.

Soft Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
