Qualification:

  • Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • 2–3 years of experience in a process industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate, and optimize chemical processes (mass & energy balances, reaction kinetics)
  • Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process layouts
  • Prepare equipment specifications and select process equipment
  • Conduct process modeling and simulation
  • Monitor, control, and troubleshoot production processes
  • Implement process improvements and ensure HSE compliance
  • Perform risk assessments (HAZOP, FMEA)
  • Supervise pilot plant operations, scale-up, and technology transfer
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers and prepare technical reports
  • Train staff on SOPs and process changes

Technical Skills:

  • Strong fundamentals of chemical engineering
  • Experience with Aspen Plus / HYSYS
  • Knowledge of equipment design, instrumentation, automation, and CAD tools
  • Strong data analysis and project management abilities
