The Division:
WinePOS, originally founded as Innovative Computer Solutions in 1980 and later rebranded following product evolution. It operates within Jonas Software, a global enterprise software group and subsidiary of Constellation Software, Inc.

Position:
If you are interested in working for a fun, small development shop that sells software to the wine industry, then we are right for you. If you want the feel of a small company but with the funding security of a large corporation, then we might be what you are looking for.
As we expand our platform to support a mobile application for our merchants, we're looking for a backend developer to help expose key data through modern APIs. This role focuses on working within our legacy application to extract and organize data and build well-structured API endpoints using and AWS API Gateway.
You'll work alongside our core development team, with a high level of independence and ownership. While mobile support is the priority, there may be opportunities to contribute across the platform in areas where API, data access, or integration work overlaps.
Our ideal candidate would be someone who can immediately impact the team by owning application solutions from design to implementation. This includes:
● Evaluating approaches to data access and API design
● Building robust endpoints for use by mobile clients
● Participating in code reviews and planning when appropriate
● Demonstrating progress and collaborating where needed

Knowledge and Skills:
● 5+ years of professional software development experience
● Strong experience with and building RESTful APIs
● Experience deploying APIs with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, and related services
● Strong understanding of how to work within and around legacy applications
● Familiarity with syncing data from file-based configs into structured databases
● Strong knowledge of Git or other version control systems
● Experience integrating and consuming 3rd-party APIs
● Ability to analyze and improve backend workflows with a focus on practical, maintainable solutions
● Solid debugging and performance optimization skills
● Familiarity with Agile development practices
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Have:
● Experience building APIs that support mobile clients (iOS/Android)
● Familiarity with ecommerce systems or merchant tools
● CI/CD pipeline development or test automation
● Exposure to legacy desktop applications (C# or Delphi)
● Interest in AI-driven tooling or feature development
