We are hiring an experienced
Assistant Manager – Taxation

to lead our tax practice and ensure client compliance with UAE and international tax laws. The role involves managing a team, handling client engagements, overseeing tax filings, and supporting financial reporting and audits. This position requires strong technical knowledge, client management, and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:


• Act as the key contact for clients on taxation matters, providing proactive guidance and high-quality advisory services.


• Supervise and guide the taxation team, delegate responsibilities, and ensure accurate and timely client deliverables.


• Manage VAT and Corporate Tax registrations, deregistration's, waiver applications, and taxable person detail amendments.


• Oversee preparation and timely filing of VAT and Corporate Tax returns, ensuring compliance with UAE and international requirements.


• Assist in planning and coordinating client audits, addressing queries from authorities, and supporting statutory and internal audit processes.


• Work with the accounting team to ensure accurate tax-related financial disclosures and reporting in line with IFRS.


• Monitor tax law changes, interpret implications for clients, and update internal processes and policies accordingly.


• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external consultants on tax and compliance matters.

Qualifications and Skills:


•
MBA in Finance or membership in a recognized accounting body (ICAP/ICMA/ACCA).


• Minimum 4–5 years in taxation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or client-facing role (consulting firm experience preferred).


• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.


• Experience managing VAT and Corporate Tax registrations, deregistration's, and amendments.


• Proficiency in overseeing the preparation and filing of VAT and Corporate Tax returns.


• Ability to research, interpret, and implement changes in UAE and international tax laws.


• Experience addressing queries from tax authorities and supporting tax audits.


• Strong knowledge of international taxation principles.


• Experience in financial reporting and ensuring accurate tax-related disclosures.


• Ability to support statutory and internal audit processes.


• Understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).


• Collaboration with the accounting team on tax-related matters.


• Proven leadership and team management/supervisory skills.


• Excellent client handling, advisory, and client management skills.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


• Ability to liaise with auditors, regulators, and external consultants.
