Job Title: IT Assistant Full-Time (Hospital Setting) Male only

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: IT Manager / Hospital Administrator

Job Summary:

The IT Assistant is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all computer hardware systems across the hospital. This includes desktops, printers, biometric devices, network equipment, and other IT-related hardware infrastructure essential for hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hospital computer hardware and peripherals.

  • Provide first-level support for hardware issues reported by staff in OPD, lab, pharmacy, emergency, wards, etc.

  • Ensure proper functioning of printers, scanners, biometric attendance machines, and CCTV systems.

  • Troubleshoot hardware problems and coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacement when needed.

  • Monitor and maintain UPS systems, internet routers, and LAN cabling.

  • Maintain inventory of IT hardware assets and update records regularly.

  • Assist in setting up systems for new staff and departments.

  • Support video conferencing tools and presentation equipment during hospital meetings or training.

  • Maintain backups and ensure minimal downtime during hardware failures.

  • Work closely with software/IT support team for integrated system maintenance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's in IT/Computer Science or relevant field.

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking basics, and peripheral maintenance.

  • Experience with hospital IT systems is a plus.

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle pressure in emergency settings.

  • Good communication and documentation skills.
