We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. This role will be responsible for architecting enterprise data platforms, leading technical teams, and driving data strategy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise-scale data platforms and data lake solutions on AWS
  • Lead and mentor data engineering teams, providing technical guidance and best practices
  • Develop comprehensive data models and establish data architecture standards
  • Oversee the implementation of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Define and enforce data governance, security, and quality standards
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve data infrastructure
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation and design specifications
  • Drive technical decision-making for data-related projects and initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience
    in data engineering and data architecture roles
  • Proven team leadership experience
    , including mentoring and managing technical teams
  • Strong expertise in AWS services
    including S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, and other data-related services
  • Hands-on experience
    designing and implementing data lake architectures following industry best practices
  • Deep understanding of data modeling concepts
    including dimensional modeling, normalization, and data warehouse design patterns
  • Excellent communication skills
    with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with modern data stack technologies and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Data Analytics certification
  • Experience with real-time streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis)
  • Knowledge of DataOps and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
  • Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Background in multiple cloud platforms
