As a Roblox Game Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying interactive games and experiences on Roblox. You'll work with a team of designers, artists, and developers to bring concepts to life, leveraging Roblox Studio and Lua scripting to create smooth gameplay, scalable systems, and exciting worlds that players will love.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Roblox games using Roblox Studio and Lua scripting.

Collaborate with game designers, artists, and product managers to translate concepts into functional gameplay.

Build gameplay systems including mechanics, UI, economy, and progression loops.

Optimize performance for smooth experiences across devices (PC, mobile, console).

Implement multiplayer features, data storage, and in-game monetization systems (Robux transactions, Game Passes, Developer Products).

Test, debug, and iterate on features to ensure quality and balance.

Stay current with Roblox trends, updates, and community-driven features to integrate into new experiences.

Qualifications

Required:

Strong experience with Roblox Studio and Lua programming.

Proven track record of developing and publishing Roblox games or significant contributions to Roblox projects.

Solid understanding of game development fundamentals (gameplay design, UI/UX, optimization).

Ability to implement multiplayer systems, leaderboards, and in-game currency.

Familiarity with Roblox APIs, services, and monetization models.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

Experience working on a team-based game development project.

Knowledge of 3D modeling, animation, or visual effects within Roblox.

Understanding of live ops strategies (events, updates, player retention systems).

Passion for gaming and awareness of Roblox trends, genres, and communities.
