Accounts Executive

Location: Islamabad

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: 60K – 70K

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Executive to support our Finance & Accounts team in managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role involves bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payments, as well as assisting with VAT submissions, month-end closing, and preparation of audit support documentation.

The position offers hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, VAT compliance, and audit coordination, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Bookkeeping & Transaction Management

  2. Record all sales, purchase, and expense invoices in the accounting system (Xero/Odoo/Zoho).

  3. Maintain and update the cash flow sheet and record supplier/vendor payments.

  4. Perform bank, petty cash, and account reconciliations.

  5. Financial Reporting & Month-End

  6. Prepare financial summaries, management reports, and support month-end reporting.

  7. Assist with annual accounts preparation.

  8. VAT & Tax Compliance

  9. Prepare and maintain VAT/tax supporting records and assist in VAT return submissions.

  10. Audit & Coordination

  11. Prepare audit support documentation and respond to queries from auditors/consultants.

  12. Coordinate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure correct accounting inputs.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software (Xero, Odoo, Zoho, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Excel (financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting).
  • Ability to prepare and review financial statements and support audits.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with finance teams and auditors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • ACCA, CA-Inter, or similar qualification preferred.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with financial reporting and audit exposure.
  • Knowledge of VAT/tax rules.
