What is Executive Manager Accounts - MMBL?

The
Executive Manager Accounts at MMBL
is responsible for overseeing the Bank's financial accounting and reporting function. The role involves reviewing monthly financial statements before they are presented to senior management, analyzing financial results against budgets and forecasts, and preparing detailed reports for management review. It also includes monitoring daily settlements, accounts payable/receivable, control accounts, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. In addition, the Executive Manager leads transformation projects to improve processes and provides technical guidance on IFRS matters, ensuring that accounting practices remain aligned with regulatory and international standards.

What Executive Manager Accounts - MMBL Does?

• Responsible for reviewing monthly management and financial reports.
• Develop and maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support on technical accounting issues and guidance on financial implications of complex transactions.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis of financial reports.
• Review and monitor monthly capital adequacy, liquidity, and other regulatory ratios to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular reviews of accounts, bank, payables, and receivables reconciliations.
• Review treasury income workings, deferred tax calculations, fixed asset register, and lease schedules.
• Provide support and guidance to team members while maintaining a cohesive and collaborative environment.
• Review and approve daily settlements and schedules of branchless banking merchants.
• Review branchless banking dashboards and super-agent commission/share calculations on branchless banking income and related costs.
• Ensure preparation and accuracy of aging analysis and break-up of all assets and liabilities.
• Act as a key contributor in transformation projects.
• Ensure smooth month-end, quarterly, and yearly closing.
• Oversee the smooth conduct of statutory, group, and other audits.
• Ensure preparation of financial statements along with notes in accordance with IFRS and SBP guidelines.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Executive Manager Accounts - MMBL?

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior-level position (AVP or above) within a large-scale organization, preferably in the banking or microfinance industry.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or FCCA, with articleship preferably from a Big Four firm.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic work environments.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams.
