Job Purpose:

The Inventory Executive is responsible for monitoring, managing, and optimizing the company's inventory related to shipping operations. The role ensures accuracy in stock records, timely reconciliation, and efficient handling of goods to support smooth shipping and logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, including containers, spare parts, and shipping materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of required inventory for shipping operations.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with physical and system records.
  • Process inventory transactions in ERP / inventory management software.
  • Liaise with shipping, operations, and procurement departments for timely stock replenishment.
  • Prepare inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management review.
  • Ensure proper documentation for inbound and outbound stock.
  • Monitor aging inventory, damages, and report variances.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage, labeling, and FIFO practices.
  • Support audit requirements by providing accurate inventory records.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the shipping/logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
