It was established in 1996 by a group of development practitioners and registered in 2002 under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The organization works to promote positive attitudes and foster peaceful and tolerant environments within communities by implementing multi-sectoral development approaches for the wellbeing of marginalized segments of society—especially children, youth, and women. SPO operates in collaboration with local communities, national and international organizations, and line departments. Its work is guided by international conventions and national treaties, laws, and regulations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a MIS Officer based in Lahore. The MIS Officer will play a key supporting role in maintaining and strengthening the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system of the organization.

The incumbent will be responsible for data collection, entry, cleaning, and validation, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality. The role involves assisting in data analysis, visualization, and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.

The MIS Officer will work closely with the M&E and program teams to ensure timely and high-quality data management, contribute to progress tracking, and support in the preparation of donor and internal reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in managing the M&E database and ensure timely entry of project data.
  • Assist in data cleaning, validation, and verification to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Generate routine and assigned reports for internal use and donor reporting.
  • Develop simple dashboards, charts, and visual presentations for progress tracking.
  • Provide technical support to field teams on data collection tools and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with program and M&E teams to improve data quality and information flow.
  • Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with organizational data protection policies.
  • Maintain organized documentation of data sources, forms, and reporting templates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Information Management, or any relevant field. Background from IT will be preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in data management, monitoring & evaluation, or MIS support, preferably in the nonprofit or development sector.
  • Proficiency in data entry, cleaning, and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Kobo, Power BI, or other M&E databases).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills for collaboration with M&E and program teams.
  • Ability to work under supervision while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Experience in data visualization and digital reporting will be an added advantage.
