We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Database Administrator with 2 to 3 years of experience to support the development, maintenance, performance, and security of our organization's databases. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in database administration who is ready to contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server (MSSQL), Amazon Redshift, and Athena.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance; resolve performance bottlenecks proactively.
  • Write and optimize SQL, T-SQL, and MSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Ensure database security including user access controls and audit logging.
  • Assist in schema design, implementation, and changes for both new and existing applications.
  • Support database upgrades, patches, and data migrations.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize query performance and data access.
  • Document database configurations, maintenance procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Practical experience with MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, or Athena.
  • Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of database security and user management.
  • Basic scripting skills in Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and managed database services, including Redshift and Athena.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
  • Working knowledge of Apache Iceberg (strong to intermediate level).
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
