This unique role combines
administrative support
with
fund development responsibilities
, offering the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, HR, Finance, Marketing, and Research. The position reports to the Director of People & Administration and the Development Officer. Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Maintain and organize digital filing systems, databases, and shared drives.
  • Coordinate team calendars, schedule meetings, send reminders, and prepare agendas.
  • Draft, proofread, and format internal communications, reports, and project materials.
  • Assist with invoices, reimbursements, bookkeeping, and budget tracking.
  • Support HR processes: onboarding/offboarding, tracking leave, evaluations, and compliance.
  • Provide cross-departmental support for smooth communication and collaboration.

Fund Development Support

  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and donor engagement activities.
  • Manage donor records, process donations, and generate acknowledgments.
  • Conduct research on potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities.
  • Organize fundraising events, including logistics and follow-up communications.
  • Prepare reports on donor activity, fundraising progress, and campaign outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on donor communications, newsletters, and social media.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (Management, HR, Communications, Public Relations, or related field).
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, manage projects, and work both independently and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and project management tools.
