SEO Specialist

The SEO Team Lead will lead, manage, and mentor a team of SEO specialists responsible for driving measurable improvements in local search visibility, organic traffic, and overall SEO performance. This role requires a strategic leader with proven expertise in Local SEO and the evolving landscape of search—including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-driven search, and Google's E-E-A-T principles. The ideal candidate will combine high-level strategy with hands-on execution, ensuring SEO initiatives align with business objectives while fostering team growth and excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the SEO team by assigning tasks, setting clear objectives, and monitoring progress to ensure timely project delivery.

• Mentor and guide SEO executives/analysts, providing constructive feedback to improve performance, skills, and productivity.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the SEO team.

• Develop and execute Local SEO strategies to improve rankings in map packs, citation consistency, and Google Business Profile (GBP) visibility.

• Optimize GBPs for accuracy, NAP consistency, and engagement, while driving review management strategies to enhance online reputation.

• Conduct comprehensive SEO audits (on-page, off-page, and technical) to identify and resolve performance issues.

• Oversee schema markup, local landing page optimization, and site architecture improvements.

• Manage local link-building strategies with a focus on quality, authority, and local relevance.

• Stay up to date on Google algorithm updates, AI-driven search changes, and GEO practices, proactively adjusting strategies.

• Train the SEO team on modern search trends, including LLM-driven results, zero-click searches, Core Web Vitals, and E-E-A-T best practices.

• Track and analyze SEO performance metrics, including local traffic, keyword rankings, and conversions.

• Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with content, design, development, and marketing teams to ensure SEO strategies align with overall business goals.

• Conduct competitor research and local market analysis to uncover new opportunities for growth.

• Implement tracking and reporting through Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightLocal, Whitespark, and Screaming Frog.

Skills Required

• 5+ years of proven SEO experience, with at least 2+ years dedicated to Local SEO.

• Prior experience in a Team Lead or Senior SEO role within a digital marketing agency or similar environment.

• Strong knowledge of Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, local link-building, and reputation management.

• In-depth understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Large Language Models (LLMs), zero-click results, Core Web Vitals, and Google's E-E-A-T framework.

• Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightLocal, Whitespark, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Search Console.

• Solid grasp of technical SEO, including schema markup, crawlability, and site structure.

• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategies.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred).

Working Hours

06:00 AM – 03:00 PM EST (Mon–Fri)

Time is subject to change to accommodate daylight savings.Hybrid Shift for Females: Female employees can leave the office around 09:00 PM and complete the remainder of their shift remotely from home.
