The Senior Procurement Officer (Payments) will be responsible for managing and processing all procurement-related payments in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures proper financial documentation, vendor reconciliation, compliance with organizational policies, and smooth coordination between the procurement, finance, and operations teams. The position is crucial in maintaining transparent and efficient payment systems that support the organization's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and payments in line with approved purchase orders and contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement-related financial transactions and supporting documents.
  • Verify and reconcile vendor accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department for payment scheduling and fund availability.
  • Assist in preparing periodic payment reports, summaries, and reconciliations for management review.
  • Support audit requirements by providing necessary payment records and justifications.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, financial regulations, and internal control procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding billing, payment status, and documentation requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payment handling.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the procurement team as required.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education:
    BBA (Hons.) in Accounting & Finance / MBA Finance / ACCA
  • Experience:
    Minimum
    2–3 years
    of relevant experience in payment processing, vendor reconciliation, or financial operations within a procurement or finance function.
