The Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial information, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role involves maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, assisting with audits, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure the company's financial health and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning reports.
  • Manage payroll records and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor and report on company financial performance, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (GAAP/IFRS), and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
