Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced finance leader to head
Business Planning, Budgeting & Taxation
for our Pakistan operations. This role is critical in shaping our financial strategy, driving accurate and efficient planning processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support rapid growth in a competitive digital telecom/technology environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead
    annual business planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles
    , ensuring alignment with group strategy and local market dynamics.
  • Develop and monitor
    long-term financial models
    , including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Own the
    budgeting framework
    —ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and robust controls across all functions.
  • Provide
    regular business performance reviews
    , variance analysis, and actionable insights to management.
  • Drive
    tax planning, compliance, and risk management
    across direct and indirect taxes in Pakistan, ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with
    tax authorities, advisers, and external auditors
    .
  • Ensure
    accurate reporting of tax positions
    and proactively manage potential exposures.
  • Collaborate with group finance to ensure
    harmonisation of processes and reporting standards
    .
  • Build robust
    processes, automation, and governance
    frameworks to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Develop and lead a
    high-performing team
    , providing coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Manage
    procurement and administrative
    matters as well.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years
    of progressive experience in finance, with a strong focus on
    business planning, budgeting, taxation, and financial strategy
    .
  • Proven track record in
    leading budgeting and forecasting cycles
    for large organizations or high-growth companies.
  • Strong technical expertise in
    Pakistani tax laws and regulations
    , including corporate, sales, and withholding taxes.
  • In-depth experience in
    financial modelling, scenario planning, and commercial analysis
    .
  • Hands-on experience in
    process automation, system-driven reporting, and control optimization
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to
    communicate financial insights
    effectively to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a history of
    building and scaling finance teams
    .
  • Prior experience in
    Telecommunications, SaaS, Internet, or Technology industries
    preferred.

    .
