Our Potential Opportunity  

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a skilled and solution-oriented Solution & Proposal Engineer to join our fast-paced Solution Centre Department. This role is central to designing, optimizing, and proposing control system solutions tailored to customer RFQs and technical requirements. You'll be working on high-impact projects across industries like Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Energy — shaping automation outcomes that prioritize performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.

What You'll Lead and Deliver 

• Assist the Sales team in the Pre-Qualification (PQ) process with new customers.
• Align customer inquiries with INTECH's core strengths and offerings.
• Support Sales in developing pursuit strategies for targeted opportunities.
• Maintain and update the Master Proposal Data Bank for efficient referencing.
• Develop technically compliant proposals/quotations within agreed timelines.
• Plan bid and proposal schedules in line with customer deadlines and requirements.
• Review RFQs, specifications, and technical/commercial requirements, and prepare clarifications for client submission.
• Identify new business domains and support RSMs & CMs in building relationships with prospective clients.
• Gather feedback from RSMs on submitted proposals for continuous improvement.
• Conduct site visits to customer locations when required.
• Propose optimized electrical solutions tailored to client needs and obtain technical design approvals (where necessary).
• Suggest value-added technical improvements during the bid stage to reduce costs and enhance competitiveness.
• Review client purchase orders to ensure alignment with proposals and commercial terms.
• Make informed decisions in selecting suitable and cost-competitive designs/products from OEMs such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.
• Ensure complete handover of awarded projects from Sales to Operations for smooth execution.
• Perform quality checks and standardization of solutions before final submission.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organization.
• Implement standardized practices and support quality assurance in proposals.
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of solution offerings and proposal development processes.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 

• 5 - 6 years of relevant experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Power automation products and solutions
• Good understanding of internal components used in multiple types of switchgear and control gears up to 33K
• Design / Selection experience of at least any two of the major Electrical Switchgear Brands (Schneider, ABB, Eaton, SIEMENS, etc.)
•  Shall have experience of design, Estimation, & Proposal making of Low Voltage Switchgear & Medium Voltage Switchgear & MCC's, Power factor Panels, AC & DC UPS systems, Transformer Systems, Power Management Systems, MV & LV VFD & Soft starters and Power system studies.
• Knowledge of maintenance activities for above systems will be an additional advantage
• Should have knowledge of developing solutions for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Good knowledge of load estimation, heat dissipation calculations, short circuit calculations, arc flash and evaluation, busbar sizing, Bus ducts type and selection, IP and IK ratings for SWGRs
• Understanding of GA drawings creation, review & switchgear construction
• Experience in developing an integrated electrical building (E-House) solution with BOM comprising of Switchgears, VFDs, UPS, Distribution Boards along with all accessories like Lighting, Earthing, Cable Trays, HVAC / Air Conditioning, Fire & Gas System, Fire Suppression System, etc
• Good understanding of HVAC sizing calculations, design, and selection
• Good knowledge of software-based power system analysis (like Relay coordination, Power flow analysis, Arc flash analysis, etc.)
• Validate the supplier technical offer and confirm compliance with RFQ specifications
• Good understanding of control system hardware design (Panel design/ wiring drawings etc.)
• Should be well-versed in IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and UL standards applicable to electrical systems and power automation infrastructures.
• Detailed knowledge of Hazardous areas applications and equipment selection.
