Engineer | Electrical

Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The Engineer – Electrical & Instruments will play a crucial role in supporting production activities, troubleshooting of instrumentation, ensuring electrical safety, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables:

• Oversee the operation and control of electrical & instrumentation systems and control during assigned shifts.
• Ensure the reliability and availability of electrical equipment to support uninterrupted production.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
• Enforce and adhere to electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, engineers, and technicians to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical & Instrumentation maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Conduct training sessions for the maintenance team on new equipment, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electrical systems.

Job Specification:

• Bachelor's degree (BSc/B. Tech) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 4 Years of Experience in relevant field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and control systems.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and drawings.
• In-depth understanding of electrical safety standards and protocols.
• Ability to promote a safety-first culture within the team.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex electrical issues.
