Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore for a General Ledger Specialist. The General Ledger Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and reconciling accounts on a regular basis. Key tasks include preparing journal entries, monitoring transactions, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting in audits. The role requires close collaboration with finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation
  • Experience with journal entries, month-end close processes, and preparation of financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for transaction monitoring and variance analysis
  • Understanding of financial compliance and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus
  • Experience in logistics or technology-focused industries is an advantage
