UI/UX Designer

Role Overview

We're seeking a mid–senior UI/UX Designer who can own end-to-end product design—from discovery and ideation through delivery and iteration. You'll lead complex feature work, raise the quality bar across our design system, and mentor junior designers. The ideal candidate combines strong visual/UI craft with user-centered thinking, data awareness, and crisp handoff to engineering.

Key Responsibilities

·       Translate product goals and user insights into flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma.

·       Own features from discovery to release; run lightweight research (interviews, surveys, usability tests), synthesize findings, and iterate.

·       Evolve and govern the design system (components, tokens, patterns, accessibility) and ensure front-end alignment with component libraries (e.g., MUI/Ant/Bootstrap).

·       Produce developer-ready specs (Auto Layout, constraints, variants, tokens) and partner closely with engineering for feasibility and velocity.

·       Ensure accessibility (WCAG) and performance-minded UI; design responsive interfaces for web and mobile.

·       Contribute to motion/micro-interactions, empty/onboarding states, and error/edge cases.

·       Create brand/marketing collateral when needed: logos, brochures, presentations, infographics, and campaign visuals.

·       For senior candidates: mentor designers, lead critiques, shape roadmaps with PM/Eng, and drive measurable UX outcomes.

Must‑Have Qualifications

·       Portfolio required showcasing end-to-end projects (problem → approach → design decisions → outcomes).

·       UI Design fundamentals with demonstrable mastery of: Balance, Contrast, Hierarchy, Alignment, Proximity, Color Theory, Typography, Prototyping, UI mockups, and alignment with front-end components.

·       Proven experience (3–6+ years mid) designing web and mobile products.

·       Strong proficiency in Figma (components, variants, prototyping, Dev Mode) and Miro for collaboration/whiteboarding.

·       Working knowledge and application of Fitts's Law in modern UX (e.g., target sizing/spacing, edge/corner affordances, touch hit-area design, reducing acquisition time).

·       Experience planning and conducting usability tests; ability to turn insights into concrete design improvements.

·       Clear communication, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice‑to‑Have

·       Experience with SaaS/fintech/enterprise products.

·       Understanding of design tokens, theming (including dark mode), and internationalization considerations.

·       Comfort with motion design and micro-interactions (Figma Smart Animate/Lottie).

·       Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JS (for better handoff and feasibility discussions).

·       Working in Agile/Scrum; tools like Jira/ClickUp, Slack, Notion, etc.

Tools We Use

·       Design: Figma (primary)

·       Collaboration/Workshops: Miro

·       Research/Testing: Lookback/Maze/Forms (or equivalents)

·       Handoff: Figma Dev Mode (Zeplin if needed)

What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)

·       You ship clean, scalable UI using systemized components and tokens.

·       Usability metrics improve (task success, completion time, error rate, CSAT).

·       Fewer UI inconsistencies as the design system gains adoption across teams.

·       For senior roles: juniors are mentored, critiques are constructive, and execution velocity improves.
