Team Lead Virtual Medical Assistant

Location: Wapda Town Lahore, Pakistan

Shift: Night Shift

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Team Lead – Virtual Medical Assistants to

oversee and manage a team of Virtual Medical Assistants (VMAs). The role requires strong

leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of medical processes

including scribing, clinical documentation, CPT/ICD coding, and patient coordination. The Team

Lead will ensure smooth operations, maintain quality standards, and act as the bridge between

management, providers, and team members.

Job Responsibilities:


• Supervise and manage daily operations of the Virtual Medical Assistants team.


• Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure accuracy, productivity, and

adherence to timelines.


• Conduct regular quality audits of scribing, coding, and clinical documentation.


• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to team members to enhance skills and

knowledge.


• Act as the first point of escalation for complex patient/provider queries and clinical

concerns.


• Review and approve records, orders, prescriptions, and referrals created by the team,

ensuring compliance with protocols.


• Coordinate with IT, Admin, and HR for smooth workflow and resource allocation.


• Prepare and share daily/weekly performance and productivity reports with

management.


• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, company guidelines, and healthcare compliance standards.


• Assist in the onboarding and training of new Virtual Medical Assistants.


• Support process improvements to optimize team efficiency and service quality.


• Facilitate communication between physicians, patients, and third parties when required.


• Participate in meetings with senior management to discuss challenges, improvements,

and team progress.

Qualifications & Skills:


• Bachelor's degree in Medicine/Health Sciences (MBBS, BDS, DPT, Pharm-D, Nutrition, or

equivalent).


• 3–4 years of experience in medical documentation, clinical coordination, or virtual

medical assistance.
