Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

Function:

QC Electrical Activities

JOB PURPOSE:

Supervise and monitor all type of Electrical & Telecommunication works activities.

QMS implementation Project Quality Inspection, Quality related activities and its coordination to Client / Contractor and vendors Inspections.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Maintain system manuals, international & national standards, client specs, Technical data sheets & handbooks, product-range & component catalogs, copy of ITP and all relevant documents related to inspections.

Responsible for all Electrical including Grounding, HV, MV, LV Cables pulling, dressing, laying and termination, Conduits, Cable trays, Switches, Data & Communication system, Public address, cable trunk, electrical wiring, panel, switch board CCTV, Switches, Patch panel, Fiber optic cable, Duct bank, Wireless system, Telecommunication Cabinets, MDF, BTS, PABX, VMS, ACS, Fire alarm, Fire evacuation, Testing and Pre- pre- commissioning system inspections.

. Ensure Received Request for inspection (RFI) from contractor as per Inspection Test plan and standards prior for Approval. Ensure inspections & work as per client specification, standards, method

Verify and assure accreditation, certifications, approvals and accolades along with profiles of vendors, external / third party or independent agencies.

Maintain quality records such as log book of the work performed, QA/QC Weekly report, Internal inspection report, Non Conformance report (NCR).

Verification of test results, reporting and recommendation to QA/QC Manager for necessary actions

Ensure Received Material inspection request (MIR) from contractor as per approved material submittal and as per client requirements on project prior for approval.

Ensure that contractor is using proper calibrated equipment's.

Ensure that contractor has done proper storage of materials in store by surveillance inspection.

Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials is done at project

Ensure that the conduit routing is done as per the drawing through duct bank or trench and also indoor cable routing is done correctly.

Ensure the NCR raised must be closed by the contractor on time.

Review of specification, project activates codes, and standards with reference to SAES-T, ITP UL, NEC, NFPA, TIA/EIA, IEC, and IEEE.

Witness different types of inspections like installation of telecommunication (telephone & data), CCTV, Public address, Fire alarm, Fire evacuation, lighting, and power, and cable routing system for first fix, second and Third fix

Witness inspection for installation of Fixing UTP modular Patch panels on each racks/cabinet

Witness RFI for installation of Cable trunk, cable tray.

Witnessed RFI for grounding and earthing system.

Witness for testing commissioning and pre- commissioning inspections RFI raised by contractor such as telephone, data, public address, cctv, pabx, acs, fire alarm and fire evacuation system.

Ensure that all RFI is done as per project specification and standards

Monitor and inspect going inspection and testing activities through concern project quality /construction & production representative

Ensure that the PQP and defined Quality requirements including ITP , Check list , MOS , PTS and applicable standard and code are being followed at projects.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications: Bsc of Electrical or equivalent Engineering.

Minimum Experience: 5 years work experience in construction of electrical /Infrastructure Project

Experience in electrical substation, Power Plants, OHTL, High Voltage, Extra High Voltage, 132kv or 320kv projects, particularly in QC roles.

Generic Skills:

Familiar with International Standard Such as ASTM . NEC , IEEE, NFPA , etc.

Management Skills to Manage QC activities at Project

Communications Skills to Coordinate Internally and Externally

Team Work Skills to lead QC Inspector team to manage QC activities at project
