Job Roles

  • Manage and process Medicaid claims for dialysis services, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Review patient information and medical records to verify eligibility and ensure proper coding.
  • Follow up on denied or unpaid claims and submit appeals as necessary.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to inquiries from state Medicaid agencies.
  • Maintain and update patient billing information and records in the billing software.
  • Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to gather necessary documentation for billing.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding Medicaid billing.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with a strong focus on
    Medicaid billing
    .
  • Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with exposure to
    dialysis or nephrology billing
    .
  • Experience in
    revenue cycle management
    is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with
    Gaia dialysis billing software
    is strongly preferred.

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A certification in medical billing (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA) is a plus.

Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Medicaid billing regulations
    and procedures.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software, with a preference for
    Gaia
    .
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 coding.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

: 6 pm – 3 am PKT (Night shift)

Gross Salary (USD):
$500 - $550
