Job Description: Shopify Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores tailored to client needs and specifications.
  • Modify and customize Shopify themes to align with brand identity and specific functionality requirements.
  • Integrate third-party and custom apps into Shopify stores to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Implement responsive, high-performing UI/UX designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks to ensure seamless store operation.
  • Work with Shopify's APIs to integrate external systems and platforms, ensuring smooth data exchange and enhanced store capabilities.
  • Apply SEO best practices within Shopify themes to improve search engine rankings and online visibility.
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure compatibility, performance, and functionality across various devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality Shopify solutions on time and within scope.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to the development process.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Shopify development.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with Shopify's REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects is required.
  • Understanding of e-commerce best practices and current trends.
  • Experience with user experience (UX) and interface (UI) design.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks is a plus.
