Horticulturist and Miyawaki Forest Developer

This is a full-time on-site role located in Lahore for a Horticulturist and Miyawaki Forest Developer. The individual in this role will be responsible for Landscape maintenance, Forest Development, Hiring Gardeners on different sites and Reporting Irrigation tasks. He will manage local resources, hire daily wages gardeners and maintain records and ensure sustainable approaches to Landscapes, including Akira Miyawaki forests. Daily tasks include assessing site conditions, selecting appropriate plants, overseeing plants survival and maintenance works, and ensuring proper irrigation. The candidate will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to implement sustainable projects that enhance biodiversity and community engagement.

Note: This role demands full time on site engagement with availability of personal bike is must. No office setup is available for candidate yet. Flexibility of working Hours can be discussed with reporting manager.

Qualifications

Skills in Urban Forestation, Akira Miyawaki Forests Development, Urban Landscape Maintenance & Pest Management

Knowledge of Botanical Traits of Native Plants and Selection according to given environment

Experience with Irrigation and Landscaping Techniques which can contribute to Sustainable Agro forestry

Strong understanding of sustainable practices and environmental adaptation and Climate Mitigation responsibilities

Ability to manage and execute projects effectively within aligned & available resources

Excellent communication, reporting and collaboration skills

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (Horticulture), Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field

Previous experience in a similar role is a plus

Must have a prior knowledge or experience about Forest developments and carbon sequestrations.
