Artificial Intelligence Specialist

The Investigative Analyst conducts various analyses and investigative research services, including but not limited to public record research. The Investigative Analyst will complete all-source research, gather pertinent data, review intelligence gaps, prepare records and files, and complete associated investigations and reporting requirements.

Role Overview

The
AI & NLP Lead
will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities for CRI Group's digital platforms, particularly
EmploySmart RiskSentinel
. This role demands a visionary technologist with hands-on expertise in NLP, machine learning, and applied AI, with the ability to integrate risk intelligence, social media screening, sanctions monitoring, and compliance analytics into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy
• Define the AI/NLP roadmap aligned with CRI Group's compliance, risk, and investigative intelligence platforms.
• Mentor and lead junior data scientists, ML engineers, and developers in applied AI projects.
• Solution Development
• Architect and implement
  NLP pipelines
  for multilingual text mining, sentiment analysis, entity resolution, topic modeling, and risk classification.
• Develop AI-powered modules for
  ESG risk, compliance violations, misconduct detection, and reputational alerts
  .
• Ensure integration of AI models with
  existing portals
  (EmploySmart, RiskSentinel, IntegrityCheck360, RiskGuard360).
• Data & Integration
• Work with APIs for
  social media feeds, news data, and global sanctions lists
  .
• Design entity-linking systems to match individuals/companies across diverse datasets.
• Collaborate with backend developers to ensure scalable and secure model deployment.
• Innovation & Research
• Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art LLMs, transformers, and generative AI for compliance applications.
• Stay current on global AI/NLP trends in
  compliance, fraud detection, and background screening
  .
• Governance & Compliance
• Ensure AI-driven processes comply with
  data privacy laws (GDPR, PDPL, DIFC, etc.)
  .
• Draft explainability frameworks for
  AI ethics and transparency in decision-making
  .

Qualifications

• Master's in
  Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or related field
  .
• 7+ years of applied experience in
  NLP and AI model development
  , with proven leadership in productized solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with
  Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, HuggingFace Transformers, NLTK)
  .
• Experience with
  multilingual text processing
  (Arabic, English, Urdu, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of
  cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  and deployment frameworks (FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in
  compliance, AML, fraud risk, or corporate investigations
  is a strong plus.
