Product Manager

• Good knowledge and understanding towards Islamic term financing products, Sukook and liability product offerings.
• Addressing the gaps in Wholesale Islamic offering Identified by business and develop the Islamic wholesale proposition.
• Work with key product partners like Shariah, GTB, OPS, Legal, CX etc. to address product gaps, service issues, CX journeys etc.
• Support sales/coverage in terms of Islamic queries and develop the Islamic digital platform working with the digital squads.
• Support Head of Products with day-to-day activities.

Main Project Deliverables 

• Lead the bank's wholesale Islamic product development initiatives by addressing the gaps in Wholesale Islamic offering Identified by the incumbent, and the wholesale business 1) between Mashreq's Al Islami and Mashreq's Conventional offerings, and 2) viz-e-viz the competition. 
• Develop new product areas or enhancements required for Islamic wholesale business in coordination and work closely with all counterparties and partners i.e. the Shariah Governance Team, Global Transactional Banking, Operations, other product & business partners, Technology etc. to fix the gaps in the wholesale offerings. Support gap analysis across Wholesale Islamic business. Be fully responsible for end-to end synergic, comprehensive and best in class wholesale proposition/offering. 
• Work on the propositions to develop/enhance the Islamic Banking offering, ensuring that basic infrastructure, technological support, operational processes are in place or built, to ensure smooth execution of the Islamic Banking business/products.
• Supporting business & sales team with product onboarding & execution, guiding RMs on product & offering familiarity. Regular interaction with RMs to explain the Islamic Structure/offerings and take the RM through the details.
• The job holder is entrusted with completing and upgrading the Islamic offering in terms of reviewing and enhancing the documentation in line with Mashreq's Conventional and competitor platforms. Interact with the Shariah Team/Legal/Ops/Compliance etc to ensure all requisite approvals are in place.
• Work with the respective digital squads to make sure Islamic is being comprehensive incorporated in the offering.
• Work with Marketing on promoting Mashreq Al Islami Proposition.
• Work with the Business Intelligence Unit /Advance Data Analytics teams to create dash boards for Islamic Business monitoring.

Audit/Governance

• SOPs, Product Manuals, PPGs, SLAs, Diagnostics.
• Work closely with the Shariah Team to make sure all documentation, FATWA's, AAOIFI's and any Shariah policies are being implemented properly across the divisions. 

Financial

• Ensure all Fee/Annuity revenue is correctly captured into Islamic GLs and all Annuity Accruing products' completeness is ensured via systemic checks.
• Ensure correct Account / rate set up by operations on Islamic cases, account by account tracking on Islamic cases in provisioning buckets.

• Minimum 10 years of banking and finance experience with superior knowledge in business backend, execution requirements in general banking segment, Experience of working within large and complex financial institution/(s) is a must.
• Understand all product features conventional and islamic (preferrred) structures of corporate banking and international banking.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, interpersonal and execution skills & Business understanding.
• Ability to lead close critical items coordinate with product teams keeping focus on customer centricity.
• Strong commercial orientation and effective people management skills.
• Knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix, with strengths in basic product execution and backend support.
• Business degree or equivalent professional qualification.
